Mr. P. Jaganathan

P. Jaganathan, a native of Madurai, completed his law degree in 1972 from the Madras University. He secured Madras University First Rank in the First year law course and excelled in his legal studies by securing University ranks in all the three years of law course. He secured a maximum number of awards and medals in the three year law course. He was the awardee of Sir Morehead law prize, Sir William Ayling Memorial Prize, Sir Venkatesam Gold Medal, Bardswell Law Prize, Rotary club law scholarship, Madras Law College Rolling Shield, etc. He passed his first master degree in law in “Law of Contracts including Mercantile Law” and second master degree in law in “Administrative Law and Industrial Laws. Besides he is a Master’s degree holder in Criminology and Police Administration, Master’s degree holder in Marketing Management and Master’s degree holder in Business Administration.

After Mr. Jaganathan started his legal practice in Madurai, his knowledge in law prompted him to start a Law Academy in Madurai with branches at Chennai and Bangalore.

He also started publishing Law books in simple English language for students who found idifficult to understand the complex legal language in the textbooks. These publications were made available in all law book shops for easy access.

Now the Law books authored by him have successfully completed nearly 50 years (1975-2025) and have been continuously receiving tumultuous welcome by student community. Many of the students who studied his books have become advocates and some of them have become Judges and Senior Lawyers. The legal services of this Author is still continuing with same zeal, dedication and enthusiasm !

Mrs. Usha Jaganathan

Mrs. Usha Jaganathan, Co-Author and Publisher of Usha Jaganath Law Series, graduated in law from Bangalore University. After graduation, she joined co authoring with Mr. Jaganathan in writing law books.

Besides her Master’s degree in Contracts, she has to her credit a Master’s degree in ‘Psychology’ and a Master’s degree in ‘Philosophy and Religion’. She specialised in answering the legal problems, which is now a compulsory question in law examinations. She has been instrumental in carrying on the publications of UJLS for nearly 50 long years, besides taking care of the administration and student needs.

Mr. J.P. Arjun

Mr Arjun, besides his active legal practice, has joined the authorship of ‘Usha Jaganath Law Series’ and brought laurels to the books by his innovative approach like separate books for problems in each subject, Law books in Kannada for students of Karnataka and Law books in Hindi for Students of North India and also organising and taking Personal Coaching Classes, Advocate Training, preparation of study materials for All India Bar Examinations, etc.

He has been instrumental in marketing UJLS in Amazon, Flipkart, Ujls Website etc.,

As on date, there are books cum guides in more than 60 subjects in English and 30 subjects in Tamil and other languages.

For the past 50 years, the books have been acclaimed as one of the best study materials by law students for understanding the subject easily and for preparing well for all law examinations
