Consumer Protection Act (Tamil)

Today’s world is a global village with rapid strides of technological developments both in transport and communication. An American product of yesterday is an Indian consumer product of today due to the speedy transport facility. Now, there is only a global market in the competition of goods and services.

The order of today is Caveat Venditor (Let the seller beware) since the consumer has quick and inexpensive remedies against the seller for sale of spurious goods, misleading representations, etc.Ralph Nadar of the USA, the pioneer of the consumer movement, took the road of consumerism whose efforts finally resulted in passing The Consumer Protection Act, now prevalent in almost all the nations of the world including India, which enacted the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
