Sociology I

Sociology is the scientific study of society. It studies the patterns of social relationships, social interactions, culture, etc. Sociology is now getting expanded to focus on other subjects such as health, medicine, economy, military and penal institutions, education etc., The study of Sociology thus helps the policy makers, educators, legislators, administrators and others to resolve social issues in general and in this context, it has become an important subject of study.

The authors of UJLS have taken maximum efforts to simplify the subject matter so that the students of law/sociology can easily grasp and remember the subject. Further, the subject has been presented in the form of essays in simple language with answers for the previous year university questions for review. Separate ‘chapter index’ and ‘short notes index’ in the book will help the students for easy reference of answers.
